Who is into web development? What sites do you own? What platforms do they use? How long have you been in this hobby?

I would say I am somewhat into web development. I not only like to create and also work on forums but I also enjoy creating blogs too and writing content for those.

At the moment I am using Xenforo for my forums and WordPress for my blogs :)

I used phpBB quite a long time ago now, it was the first forum software I used and I always remember having issues because when you added mods, you would have to make so many edits to templates and it would break the forum.

Have they changed how mods are installed now?

I use smf, simple machine forums. For the simple reason it’s so easy to use but the permission on making groups gets a bit complex.

How do you feel phpBB is primitive?

How could it be improved? I'd like to try SMF one day again. I like about all forum software.

Mods are pretty much installed right into the "ext" directory and so is not hard.

To make it more easier to navigate the groups sections it is kinda of confusing where which goes where.

I may have to check it out again and see how much it has changed over the years from what I remember.

My first attempt at a site was a static guitar lesson page on ad supported hosting in the mid 2000s.

My 2nd attempt was some music lesson and employment sites starting around 2008. All of them were eventually made blogs because my html skills were beginner.
